Website-Manager Professional Edition
The Professional edition has more features that are directed toward the professional SEO, SEM, or serious Web site owner. For instance, user categories defined in the Domain Names and Keywords task can be used when creating custom reports. Generated reports can be saved and emailed. Plus, scheduling is available for file-based projects.
Ranking Pro Module
The Ranking Pro module allows users to create custom reports and modify existing reports. There are many stock reports you can use as a starting ground, or use the reports as is.
Email Reports
The Email button allows you to email the currently displayed report or export. You can set up reports in your project to always email to the same person or persons. The emailing feature uses your ISPs email server eliminating the need for a 3rd-party emailing program.
Reports
The Reports task has all the same features of the Standard edition plus the ability to create and edit your own custom reports. This is very important in today's competitive industry. Creating your own custom reports let you stand out from other SEO and SEM services.
Export Reports to CSV, XML, and SQL
Any report in Website-Manager, including your own custom reports, can be exported to CSV, XML, and SQL for importing into other software. This gives you a tremendous advantage over your competition who may be locked into standard reports in other ranking software.
Custom Reports Window
The Custom Reports window is where you create and modify reports and exports.
Report Tab
The Report tab is dedicated to settings on the report that don't deal with the actual data in the report. This is where you can modify any text that is displayed on the report by default. You can use the report tab to translate reports, add custom headers and footers, insert notes, change fonts, and many other settings too.
- Name is the display name used in the report list.
- Title is the heading text that is displayed in the header section of the report.
- Subtitle is the subheading text displayed below the title on the report.
- The Header button allows you to modify the header section of the report where the Title and Subtitle are displayed.
- The Legend button allows you to modify what displays in the legend of the report—usually basic information like project and date.
- The Notes button allows you to add comments to the report that might explain the report, define the headings, etc...
- The Footer button allows you to modify the footer of the report. You'll usually want to put your company contact information and copyright notice here.
- The Layout button allows you to modify the printed margins and orientation of the report.
- The Font button allows you to modify the font used on the report.
- The CSV, XML, and SQL buttons allow you to customize how data is exported in those formats.
- The Email button allows you to pre configure where the email is sent for the report.
Rankings Tab
The Rankings tab allows you to select what rankings to include in the report. By default the current, or last, ranking is used. There are four options to choose from here.
- Latest Ranking selects the last ranking in your project to run the report against.
- Range of Rankings by Date allows you to choose a range of ranking dates to run the report against.
- Range of Rankings by Name allows you to specify the ranking to include by the name given to them.
- Specific Rankings allows you to select one or more specific rankings to run the report against.
Domains Tab
The Domains tab allows you to select which domains to filter the report by. You can create categories in the Domain Names task to report on different groups of domains. If only one category is selected, you can choose to have the report display the domains, if present on the report, in the order you have defined in the category. If you uncheck all categories, all data will be displayed on the report—regardless of the domain name.
Keywords Tab
The Keywords tab functions the same way as the Domains tab, but for Keywords. By default, though, all keywords that were ranked on, and have data, will show in the report. If you want to restrict the keywords shown, create a new keyword category and select it for the report.
Engines Tab
The Engines tab functions the same as the Keywords tab but for search engines.
Result Sets Tab
The Result Sets tab is used to select what search engine results are displayed on the report. By default, most reports only show the natural (organic) listings. You can modify this behavior here. Typically, though, you would use a Sponsored Listings report instead of modifying the values here.
Columns Tab
The Columns tab is where you modify the columns and how the column data is displayed on the report. You can add, modify, and remove columns from any report, filter and sort on any and all columns, replace column values, aggregate and emphasize column data, and change how the report groups data when displayed.
Project Scheduling
Scheduling allows you to run projects unattended during off-peak hours and at night. Scheduling can also help you expand your business by giving you the ability to take on more clients without the worry of hand generating reports for them every month.
Email and Export Reports
When projects are scheduled, you can have Website-Manager email any reports directly to the client. All reports are emailed as HTML attachments and can be viewed directly in their Web browser. You can even email your client exported data if that is what they need.
Notification Messages
To keep you informed, the scheduler can send a notification email to you when a project is completed. You can even have Website-Manager text-message your cell phone to let you know. That way you don't have to worry if a client got a report or not.
