Keywords

The Keywords task is where you enter your target keywords for your Web site. This is generally the second step when creating a new project. Keywords can be entered in any language.

Import

The Import button allows you to import keywords into your project from a file or from the meta keyword section of a Web page. Any duplicates will be removed while importing.

You can also import by...

  • Pasting a list of keywords from the clipboard.
  • Dragging a file containing a list of keywords onto the Categories or Keywords list.

Quick Report

The Quick Report button allows you to print lists of your categories and keywords.

You can print...

  • A list of keywords grouped by category.
  • A list of keywords only.
  • Or, a list of category names only.

Categories List

The Categories list displays the standard and user defined keyword categories in your project. Although you can create user categories in the Standard edition, they can't be used on reports. They are only available for ranking.

You can create new categories by...

  • Selecting keywords and right-clicking.
  • Selecting keywords and dragging them to the categories list.
  • Right-click the categories list and Add or Duplicate a current category.
  • Click the Plus button in the bottom left corner.

Keywords List

The Keywords list displays, and allows the editing of, keywords in your project. It also allows you to sort the keywords, or randomize them, using the column headers. Each category can have it's own sort order. When ranking large numbers of keywords, it's usually wise to randomize your list before ranking. In the Professional edition you can choose to have your keywords displayed in your chosen order on the reports.

You can create new keywords by...

  • Clicking the Plus button in the bottom left corner.
  • Right-clicking and selecting Add Keyword from the context menu.
