Create a New Project

Choose this option to create a new file-based project that can be located on your computer or over a network. Only file-based projects can be scheduled. This is the recommended option for most users.

Open or Import an Existing Project

Choose this option to open an existing project file or import data from another program into a new project file.

Create a New Temporary Project

Choose this option to create project that is only stored in memory. When you close the project all data is lost. Use this option when you need to use a feature in the program but don't need the overhead of creating a project.

Create a New Server Project

Choose this option to create a project using MySQL. You will need to create a new database for the project first. In MySQL this can be done using the following SQL command: create database <projectName>, where <projectName> is the name you want to use for the project. We suggest using the Web site domain name.

Open an Existing Server Project

Choose this option to open an existing project located on a MySQL server. You will need to provide connection options and the database name for the project.

Open the Last Project

Choose this option to open the last file- or server-based project. If there is no last project or the last project was a Temporary project, this button is not visible.
