Use this dialog box to modify how the CSV format is displayed. Figure 1 show the default CSV output.
Field Separator
The default field separator is a comma and is used to separate data fields. This is the most common format in the U.S. and is importable without modification into Excel or any other popular spread sheet program. Excel will read in CSV files as if they were native Excel files.
Row Separator
The default row separator is a carriage return, linefeed combination. This is the most common format for Windows. For other operating systems, you may need to change this value. The default separator also makes it possible to view the file in a common text editor.
Output header row
The default header row consists of the column names from the report. If the custom report is used only for exporting to CSV, then you may want to modify the names to be compatible with your program you are importing to.
