Configuring Windows Firewall

Windows Firewall is part of Service Pack 2 for Windows XP and is installed and turned on by default when you apply the Service Pack.

To configure Windows Firewall, do the following:

 

1.Click Start on the Task bar, then click Control Panel from the menu. The Control Panel will display.
2.Click the Security Center button in the Pick a Category window. Windows Security Center windows will display.
3.Click the Windows Firewall button under Manage Security Settings. The Windows Firewall dialog box will display.
4.Click the Exceptions tab and then Click the Add Program button. The Add a Program window will display (after some time).
5.Scroll the Program list toward the bottom and select Website-Manager and click OK.
6.Click OK on the Windows Firewall window, then close the Security Center and the Control Panel. You're done!
