You'll want to categorize your domain names into logical categories that you will use for reporting purposes. For example, include all of your competitor domain names into a Competitor category. Remember that Domain Names are used for reporting purposes only.
Including Competitor Domain Names
If you would like to track where your competitors are for the same set of keywords and search engines, include their domain names in the project and categorize them into a competitor category.
Including Affiliate and Partner Domain Names
If your Web site has an affiliate or partner program, you may want to include their domain names and categorize them into an affiliates category. This will give you the ability to track their Web site against yours and see if they are competing for the same keywords, and if so, how much better they are doing and if you should take action against this.
Including Other Types of Domain Names
Basically you can include any other type of domain name that you may want to report on in the Domain Name list. For easier reporting we suggest that you use categorize those domains into logical categories.
NOTE: By default, all standard reports use the Domain Names Library category. So once you include other domain names in your project, you will want to modify this default behaviour using the Domains tab under Custom Report settings.
