Because of the many things you can do with Website-Manager, how often you check positions will depend on what you are doing. Generally, though, if you're ranking your web site, once a month is probably more than enough. If you are tracking press release, you may want to run a check positions daily and gradually decrease this over time. Or, if you are monitoring your PPC ads on the search engines, you may want to run check positions once a day in the afternoon to see if you budget has expired for the day or ran out entirely.
