The Connection Settings allow you to adjust parameters that apply to the connection with a search engine.

Timeout (sec)

This is how long, in seconds, to wait for a connection acknowledgment from the search engine before giving up. The default is 30 seconds.

Maximum Attempts

This is the maximum number of time to attempt a connection before giving up. The Timeout value is applied to each connection attempt. The default is to attempt the connection 3 times.
