Website Management Tools collects information from our users when purchasing products on our website and from the registration forms in our software products.

Trial Registration

When using the trial versions of some of our software products, you are prompted to complete a short registration form asking for general personal information. This information is used to contact you about the software and services on our site for which you have expressed an interest in. Product Registration

When a software product is purchased, an authorization code is assigned to you. When entering your authorization code to activate the product, some information is trasmitted back to the software for license purposes. This information is kept encrypted on your local machine in a license file and can include the following information: your name and company. No other personal information is transmitted unless it was provided prior to your purchase.

Services

We partner with other parties to provide specific services. When you sign up for these services, we share your name and other contact information necessary for the third party to provide these services to you. These parties are not allowed to use any personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services to you.

Order

Our order form requests the minimum amount of information need to process your order. Here you must provide contact information (name, company, email address, etc.) and financial information (credit card number, expiration date, etc.). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your order. In the event there is a problem processing your order, this information will be used to contact you.

Our web site uses standard log files and is not linked in any way to your personal information. We use cookies for three different purposes.

First, we use the apache web server module mod_usertrack, which drops a session cookie named 'ph_session', to track visitors through our web site, but does not store any identifiable information. Secondly, when visiting our site though one of our advertisers, we drop a 'ref_cookie' in your web browser that contains one text identifier of what adverstising channel you came through. This is typically the initials or name of the advertising medium followed by the date of the publication (if in fact it was a publication, such as a newsletter). No other information is stored in the cookie and the lifetime of the cookie is set to 90 days. This information is used solely to track the effectiveness of the advertising medium and contains no personally identifiable information.

And lastly, our affiliates and partners that link to our site have the option of calling a tracking script which will drop a 'partner_cookie' in your web browser. This cookie does not store any personally identifiable information and contains only the partner id of the partner or affiliate. This is used soley for tracking commission due to our partners for sales generated from their web sites. The life of this cookie is 100 days.
